Rules & Regulations

The Campus Kings NCAA 27 Online Dynasty aims to create an enjoyable and engaging experience for all participants. This league emphasizes strategic gameplay, recruitment battles, and the thrill of college football. You are responsible for knowing the rules.

League objective

The primary objective is an enjoyable, engaging experience for everyone involved. While much of the schedule is played against computer-controlled teams, user-versus-user matchups are encouraged wherever they occur — especially in conference play. This league is built for casual enjoyment with a real emphasis on strategy, recruiting, and competition.

Gameplay settings

  • Difficulty: Heisman
  • Quarter length: 5 minutes
  • All other settings: Default

Banned formations and tactics

Effective immediately
  • Power I Hulk
  • Gun Power I Tight
  • All Wildcat formations outside the red zone — Wildcat may only be used inside your opponent's 20-yard line
  • All direct-snap plays, anywhere on the field including the red zone
  • Calling defensive-line stunts from Field Goal Block

Adjust your custom playbooks and play-calling before your next game.

Exploits and glitches

The integrity of gameplay is paramount. Any suspected exploit or glitch should be reported to the league. Admins determine validity, whether a ban applies, and any consequences, in order to keep play fair across the board.

Roster position changes

Players may move freely within these defined groups and no others:

  • Running Back: RB ↔ FB
  • Offensive Line: LT ↔ LG ↔ C ↔ RG ↔ RT
  • Defensive Line: LEDG ↔ REDG ↔ DT
  • Linebacker: SAM ↔ MIKE ↔ WILL
  • Defensive Back: CB ↔ FS ↔ SS
  • Specialist: K ↔ P

ATHs may only move to EDGE or TE if they were originally grouped in Defensive Line or TE respectively, and must stay at the position you initially set for the duration of their career. No archetype exploits: moving players between groups (e.g. RB → CB → RB) to manipulate archetypes or unlock badges will drop that player's rating to 40 across the board, with possible additional penalties, fines, or removal from the league.

Scheduling games

You must be able to play at least 7 PM – 12 AM ET daily. If you can't, this is not the league for you.
  • User chats are created so both players can agree on a time as soon as possible.
  • Games must be scheduled and played within the designated gaming hours.
  • If there's an issue, state your availability within gaming hours. No reason needs to be given.
  • If a game can't be scheduled reasonably, admins decide based on what's posted in the user chat.
  • Advancement will not be held up for user games — playoff games excepted.
  • Be time-zone specific when scheduling, and tag your opponent in every response in the game chat.

Once a time is set there's a 15-minute grace period without comms and 30 minutes with comms. The waiting player may take the forfeit win or play the game. Don't play with people's time. No one person will hold up the league.

CPU games

All CPU games will be simmed. You may play them if you wish. It is your responsibility to check that the sims are correct.

Restarts, lagouts, and quitting

  • Lagout inside the first 2 minutes: may result in a complete restart if it came from the team that's ahead. If it came from the team that's behind, a point spread may be used instead.
  • Lagout after the 2-minute mark: the rest of the game is played with a spread.
  • Two consecutive lagouts by the same team: results in a loss.
  • General lag-outs may be replayed with a point spread or restarted, whichever the two players agree on. If they can't agree, admins make the final call.
  • Quitting a user game is strongly discouraged. Play at least into the 3rd quarter before conceding. Failure to do so may result in removal.

Failure to play playoff games results in a probationary period where you won't be eligible for the following season.

Streaming requirement

All user-vs-user games must be streamed. This promotes transparency and accountability, and gives the rest of the league something to follow. Failure to stream could result in a loss, handled case by case.

Team selection and approval

  • All team selections must be approved by the Campus Kings Dynasty League Board to preserve competitive balance.
  • New users must be approved by LT or Curt.
  • At the start of Campus Kings, coaches selected teams rated 2.5 stars or below to keep the playing field even.
  • Once you've honored your three-year commitment, you may accept an offer from a 4-star university. Contact an admin before any move.

Playoff Points

The Campus King Belt still goes to the coach with the most national championships over the 20 accredited seasons. Playoff Points run alongside it to track the overall top five across the full cycle.
