Four weeks, a fifty-point rivalry classic that needed four overtimes, and the loudest story of the stretch run isn't Stew or Pat — it's Alabama waking up right before the bracket gets set. Let's get into it.
Michigan 50, Ohio State 48. Four overtimes. The Week 13 Game of the Week and the instant game of the year. Curt led by three touchdowns at halftime — at home, in The Shoe, against an unbeaten arch-rival — and Dre erased all twenty-one of it, dragged the thing through four overtimes, and left with his perfect season intact and a Big Ten Championship berth in hand.
Both men knew what they'd just played. "Damn good game bro," from Dre in the game chat. Curt's verdict on himself: "I played like a bitch at the end of regulation." The scoreboard is less harsh — 98 combined points in a rivalry game is not a collapse, it's a war — but the difference between those two sentences is the difference between playing for a conference title this week and watching one.
Three weeks ago Alabama was buried. Then: Alabama 37, South Carolina 13 in Week 10. Alabama 49, LSU 7 in Week 11. Alabama 35, Georgia 14 — the Week 12 Game of the Week — against a team that had just beaten Florida by 21. Three straight, 121 points scored, 34 allowed. If the bubble comes down to who's playing the best football right now, nobody else has the argument Jason has.
Oklahoma 27, Tennessee 21 was the Week 11 Game of the Week, and it was ugly on purpose — a combined FOURTEEN turnovers, per the league broadcast, with the Sooners sealing it late on the fourteenth. Two weeks after the worst loss of his tenure, Stew found a way to win a rock fight instead of losing a track meet. The champ's floor is still higher than everybody's ceiling. Penn State 42, Indiana 20 in Week 10, then Penn State 61, USC 14 in Week 11 — a 103-34 window, and sixty-one is the biggest single-game output in the league this season. States is rolling into the postseason conversation exactly the way he wants to.

And Cal has a coach again: Lux, four legacy rings in the building, dropped his debut 42-17 to ZBO's SMU. Newcomers start at the bottom. The rings say he won't stay there.
Four weeks, one four-overtime epic, and a bracket forming with the champ wounded twice by the same man. Championship Week is next — one trophy is already gone.
