Bowzer's Game of the Week booth framed it as a debut. "Coach JT makes his GOTW debut against a top Campus Kings opponent," the Week 3 card read. "Will Nebraska shake things up in the league? Or will the 9x champion continue his dominance?" That was the polite version of what everybody was thinking: welcome to the spotlight, kid, here's Oklahoma.
Nebraska 46, Oklahoma 28.
In Norman. By eighteen. Against the two-time accredited champion, from a coach who two weeks earlier was telling the chat "Na I know I suck lol." Bowzer's siren said the rest: "UPSET IN NORMAN — Coach JT shocks the league with a massive upset over the heavyweight Sooners. The Big Ten continues its dominance over the SEC." Three weeks into his first full season, JT owns the loudest regular-season result of the year and a 3-0 record against users across his young career. The league has a new problem, and it lives in Lincoln.
Week Three
- Nebraska 46, Oklahoma 28 — JT over Stew, Game of the Week. See above, and then read it again.
- UCLA 27, Auburn 17 — the Bruins handle Fields Finest's Auburn for their first win of the year.
Week Four: the Irish keep receipts
Tayne's road show rolled into Austin for a second straight Game of the Week and left with a second straight statement: Notre Dame 41, Texas 27 over Work. That's back-to-back GOTW road wins over playoff coaches — top-5 Alabama in Week 1, Texas in Week 4 — and Bowzer made it official in #big-games: "IRISH STREAKING... the Irish are poised for a deep playoff push as a real contender." Tayne has been very good for three seasons without the season to show for it. This start looks different.
The rest of Week 4:
- Florida State 47, SMU 7 — Quan's most complete game since taking over the program, a forty-point statement over ZBO.
- Ohio State 58, UCLA 31 — Curt drops 58 and moves on. By week's end the admin desk announced UCLA is open for a new coach.
- Texas A&M 48, Florida 28 — Bawce banks his first on-the-sticks win of the season over the Gators.
Week Five: Neyland under the lights
The spotlight went to Knoxville — "a tough matchup ahead of him as he travels to Knoxville... under the lights of Neyland stadium," per the GOTW card — and Purp turned it into a rout: Tennessee 35, Ohio State 9. One week after hanging 58, Curt got held to single digits. Purp made last season's Final Four and is playing like a coach who thinks that was the floor.
- Ole Miss 31, Georgia 23 — the champ's first real test, passed. Pat over Ice Man, workmanlike, never trailing late.
- Penn State 42, Indiana 6 — States buries Gooch in the live-in-the-chat feature.
- SMU 54, Cal 34 — ZBO answers the 47-7 embarrassment with 54 on Lux. The rare Basement-tier shootout that both coaches needed for different reasons.
Week Six, so far
- Ole Miss 42, BYU 26 — Pat moves to 2-0 in user play, and the chat has decided needling the champ is a team sport. "Quit being pussy mfs playing Louisville," Stew offered about the champ's non-conference slate, adding he hopes "Ole Miss lose every game." The champ's response was to score 42.
- Clemson 31, Georgia Tech 7 — LT stays sharp against the CPU.
League life, Weeks 3-6
The recruiting board claimed its first victims: "Anyone else's scholarships all reset to zero last week?" Pat asked, followed by the review — "Shit tanked my board lol." Stew's alibi was airtight: "Have no idea haven't turned it on in like 3 days. Had bye weeks." States thinks it's the remote-recruiting exit bug. The admin desk also put a new rule on the books mid-stretch — "Quitting before half will result in removal of the league" — and closed Week 6 with a promise for the schedule ahead: "Next Week will be fireworks."
Every user score from the Sheet, Weeks 3 through 6. Forfeits and sims are logged on the site and excluded from records and write-ups, per league rule.
