Norman asked a question in Week 3. Week 11 answered it.
Oklahoma 38, Ole Miss 20. The two-time champ, coming off the worst calendar month of his tenure — swept by Pat last season, stunned by JT in his own building — got the defending champion across from him and won by eighteen. It's Stew's first win over Pat since Season Two, it snapped the champ's unbeaten start, and it landed in the middle of a stretch where the king quietly went back to looking like the king: 34-3 over South Carolina in Week 8, then the statement in Week 11. The Norman upset was the loudest result of the early season. This was the coldest.
Catching up: the Week 6 spotlight
A late addition to the books first: the Week 6 Game of the Week went to Athens, and Georgia 25, Alabama 19 gave Ice Man his best result in seasons. The #big-games desk didn't spare the loser: "BAMA CHOKES 2ND HALF — Georgia scores 18 unanswered points in 2nd half to beat Alabama... Coach Jason feels his seat getting hotter and hotter." Jason is 0-2 in user play with losses to Tayne and Ice Man; last season's hottest finisher is this season's most restless fanbase.
Week 7: Rivalry Week
The league's first themed week — "NIL stipulations, recruiting edges, bragging rights. It's all on the line," per the announcement — and it delivered four real results:
- Tennessee 53, Georgia 50 — Purp "outlasts Georgia in a dawg fight," and 103 combined points make it the highest-scoring game of the season. Ice Man went from beating Alabama to losing a classic in seven days.
- Penn State 24, Ohio State 21 — States over Curt, "a crucial conference win to stay atop the Big10."
- Florida State 31, Miami 14 — Quan over Lute: "makes a statement as he comes up in the ACC with his new team."
- Michigan 37, Washington 7 — Dre handles Frank without drama.
Week 8: the Frogs arrive
The Game of the Week went to the desert — "Coach KJ and Coach TBO renew their conference rivalry in a top 15 matchup" — and TCU 38, Arizona State 27 settled it. "FROGS TAKE DOWN THE SUN DEVILS," read the siren. "TCU uses dual rushing attack to wear down ASU, and takes the win to remain unbeaten, and sits alone atop the BIG 12 standings." KJ has last season's Big 12 trophy and this season's inside track.
Elsewhere: Oklahoma 34, South Carolina 3 — the king's first game back after Norman, taken out on Thrash — and SMU 20, Georgia Tech 14, where ZBO survived Harry's league debut by less than a touchdown. Welcome to Campus Kings, Harry: your closest game came first.
Weeks 9 and 10: the toll booth
Harry's initiation continued on schedule: Miami 40, Georgia Tech 0 (Lute), then Notre Dame 49, Georgia Tech 21 (Tayne). Three users, three losses for the new man — but everybody in the league has eaten that exact lunch in their first month. Around him: Texas A&M 38, South Carolina 17 put Bawce at two real wins, Clemson 42, Florida State 7 ended Quan's statement window emphatically, and TCU 41, BYU 25 moved KJ to a perfect 2-0 against users.
Weeks 11 through 13: separation
- Oklahoma 38, Ole Miss 20 — see above. The champ's first loss.
- Notre Dame 35, Florida State 28 — Tayne survives Quan and stays perfect: 4-0 in played games, the only unbeaten among the contenders.
- Texas 31, Georgia 19 — Work gets his second win of the year.
- Clemson 55, Miami 14 — LT's third straight blowout; he's 3-0 with a combined 128-28 in the run.
- Oregon 35, Indiana 0 — Bowzer's first played game of the season is a shutout of Gooch. The Tampa runner-up didn't need a warm-up.
- Michigan 24, Ohio State 0 — The Game, and Dre pitched a shutout in it. Curt has now taken 35-9, 24-21, and 24-0 in his last three against users.
- Texas 42, Texas A&M 39 — Work outlasts Bawce in the Lone Star finale; even Curt tipped the cap in the chat: "Gritty win last night."
League life, Weeks 7-13
The roster churn showed up in the box scores: fifteen forfeits across the stretch as four open programs — UCLA, Florida, Auburn, LSU — wait for new coaches, all logged and badged on the site but exempt from every record, per rule. Harry took Georgia Tech off the open list and paid his dues immediately. And the postseason math is getting real: Tayne unbeaten, LT rolling, TCU alone atop the Big 12, the champ and the king now one game apiece on the season series that decides everything.
Every played score from the Sheet through Season 4, Week 13. Forfeits and sims are logged on the site and excluded from records and write-ups, per league rule.
